Dr. Hillary Norton
Dr. Norton received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico. She also completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Norton actively contributes to the advancement of patient care by participating in clinical trials and serving as an advisor and consultant to patient advocacy organizations and companies that seek to bring new medications and treatment options to patients. Her research interests include spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, and emerging tests for precision-based medicine.
Dr. Norton is a member of the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network (SPARTAN) and has authored papers in numerous peer-reviewed journals. As a rheumatic patient herself, Dr. Norton has a unique understanding of the needs of her patients. She has a passion for raising awareness for spondyloarthritis and is widely recognized for her extensive media work focused on raising awareness about rheumatic diseases and advocating for patient outcomes that improve the overall quality of life and wellness.
Dr. Norton has lectured internationally on various aspects of rheumatic disease and treats patients from across the country who seek her unique perspective and patient-centered expertise.
Dr. Rebecca Fitzpatrick
Rheumatologist
Dr. Rebecca Fitzpatrick is a board certified rheumatologist with a comprehensive background in internal medicine and rheumatology. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before obtaining her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine. Dr. Fitzpatrick completed her internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where she served as chief resident. She then further specialized by completing a fellowship in rheumatology at Johns Hopkins University.
An active member of the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Fitzpatrick has also served as a committee member. She has contributed to research on psoriatic arthritis and other forms of inflammatory arthritis. While she treats a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondylarthritis, gout, and vasculitis. She is committed to providing the highest level of care while advocating for her patients’ well-being.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fitzpatrick is an avid hiker who enjoys painting, drawing, practicing yoga, running, playing with dogs, and exploring new recipes.
Joseph Chang
Joe has extensive experience providing high quality healthcare services as a Physician Assistant and practitioner of Eastern Medicine.
His journey to bring together two distinct approaches to healthcare began while providing acupuncture services within the Department of Defense, where he assisted hundreds of active duty service members recovering from a variety of medical conditions. Most notably, Joe’s work with active duty service members with PTSD led him to be a much sought after subject matter expert and consultant for various government research studies involving the benefits of acupuncture and acupressure.
He was awarded a VA Health Professional Scholarship to attend Duke University and he subsequently served at the VA Puget Sound- American Lake VA Medical Center where he continued to hone his skills, applying his knowledge to assist Veterans in pain management and primary care conditions.
Through the integration of both Western and Eastern philosophies of health and healing, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge, and traditional wisdom to Inspire Santa Fe.
